Top 5 Spring Shoe Trends

TOP 5 SPRING SHOE TRENDS

It’s getting to be around that time to pack the boots away in your closet and make room for all your spring and summer shoes. It’s all about details this spring. Boring shoes are out and shoes that turn heads are in. Shoes with studs, buckles, zippers, flowers, fringe, sculptured heels, and straps are going to be hot this season. Here is a list of our top 5 shoe trends for this spring.

Shoe Trend #1: Hot Colors

Winter was full of dark colors and this spring is all about bursting forward with an array of bright colors. Orange and pink are going to be the top colors to wear this season with red right behind.

Shoe Trend # 2: Platform High Heels

Platform high heels are back this season, and boy are they getting high. A 4-inch heel used to be the norm, but now more and more designers are closing in on that 5- inch heel and some even 6. With a platform sandal you get that height but it’s also a bit more comfortable because the height of the heel and thickness of the sole helps alleviate some of the stress placed on your foot. Wear them with a summer dress or skirt, or your skinny jeans.

Shoe Trend #3: Gladiator Sandals

Gladiator sandals emerged last summer and had a lot of people talking. They are still going strong this season and bigger than ever. Expect to see many versions of the gladiator sandal. This is a must have for spring 2009!

Shoe Trend #4: Animal Skin Sandals

Make a statement this season with animal skin sandals that are hot. Exotic animal prints are so versatile and come in a variety of colors from metallic to traditional blacks and browns.

Shoe Trend #5: Unique Heels

Not only are heels getting higher, but they are getting to be more unique. Block heels, cut out platforms, wooden heels and triangle heels are going to turn heads this season.
